A few favourite things this week :)

What can I say, I'm a true Brit and I can't stop banging on about the weather but I just have to mention it again, what a truly glorious weekend it's been! Lot's of sun and my wardrobe and and make up have fully embraced this!

Granted it wasn't that warm in the shade (I froze walking home from Cardiff City Centre on Saturday in a thin little vest and jacket!) however that wasn't going to stop me donning my Summer gear!

This month has also been the month that I caved in and purchased the Chantecaille Just Skin in 'Glow'.  I have read review after review of this and everyone raves about it and I have to say it is definitely worth the money.  At first I wasn't convinced, when I squeezed it out of the tube and first put it on my face I really wasn't sure at all, however if you give it about a minute it changes on the skin and creates a beautiful finish, glowing without being too sheeny.  I used a buffing brush (The Real Techniques or Sigma F80 would be ideal) to buff it into the skin, then used as separate concealer to cover any blemishes and shadows. It lasted really well and looked better as the day went on.  I found it looked gorgeous paired with my next favourite thing this week....

The Tom Ford Bronzing Powder in Gold Dust (01) Now this was a little eBay purchase that I wasn't planning, it's normally £65 RRP however I stumbled across someone selling it for a buy it now price of £12.99, it had been swatched once.  At that price I could afford for it to be a bad purchase!  When I opened it, it looked super shimmery, however when dusted lightly onto the face  after the Chantecaille Just Skin it creates the most gorgeous natural glow.  This is going to be a favourite duo for the Summer, fo'sure! :)

The nights are still pretty chilly and this week I've been really enjoying burning one of the new Jo Malone candles in 'Sweet Almond and Macaroon', now normally I don't like sweet smelling candles that much however I love this, its not unbearably sickly and isn't too overpowering.  I'm keen to buy the lavender one now - have any of you tried any other great Jo Malone candles?

    1. Hi Kumba!

In my opinion, they are the best candles out there, just wish they weren't so expensive! Totally worth it though!
