Love or Hate.....I Can't Make My Mind Up!

I'm warning you now, this is going to be a bit of a confusing post about the Macadamia Flawless....um, I don't really know what else to call it since it's not a shampoo or a conditioner but a bit of both!

I wanted to try this after Fleur de Force had recommended it and said she had repurchased it.  She has similar hair to myself.  Long and highlighted (ie. over processed!) So the fact that she had repurchased it made me think it must be good....

It wasn't.  Well, it was and it wasn't.  I did warn you this would be confusing!!

The first time I used it my hair experienced one of the baddest hair days it's had it a long long time.  We're talking, limp, flat, greasy, oily and lifeless.  I'd go as far as saying it was a hair tragedy!

Using it requires a strange technique, you work it through dry hair in the shower and add a little bit of water to assist with this.  Then you leave it for a few minutes and rinse it out.  Whilst in the shower, the hair rinses and feels silky and soft.  I had actually felt excited to dry it! What a huge disappointment.  As I dried it it felt greasy and unclean and I was left with hair I could do absolutely nothing with apart from apply vast amounts of dry shampoo and hope for the best!! :(

So a couple of days later I tried again.  Having spent nearly £20 on this I was determined to make it work for me.  Second go was a success.  I didn't work quite as much into the hair and it dried without feeling greasy and felt nice and soft and healthy.  :) Happy me again! My faith had been restored....momentarily!

Third time round reverted back to it's first use.  I was left with limp, greasy AWFUL hair!

I'm now too scared to use it again! So the jury's out on this one.  I personally wouldn't recommend it but I'd be interested to find out if this works for anyone else? Was I perhaps using it wrong? Help!

In other news, puppy house training is NOT going well!!! :( She is still very cute though (and I am very tired!!!)

Hope you're all having a good week!

  1. I had a hard time deciding if I liked the macadamia oil, It was ok but not life changing like some people experienced

    1. Hi Allison!
Yeah, I know what you mean, I wasn't really wowed by it and I was expecting so much more!

Hope you're having a good day
