Boy oh Boy (FOTD)
Yes. That title did just happen and I'm sorry, I couldn't help it - after racking my brains for over 10 minutes I kept coming back to that title so 'Boy oh Boy' it is.
And quite rightly so because even though I'm about 2 years late to the party with this discovery, I am totally in love with this lipstick. Yep, in case you hadn't guessed already, it's the Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in 'Boy'.
Prior to getting this (another little Duty Free prezzie from the Fiancé!) I had read countless great reviews of this lipstick. It pops up in every blogger's favourite and 'must have' lipstick list and it's been on my wish list for quite some time but I could't justify getting it until I had used up a few of my other nude lipsticks.
I can see why people love this, it doesn't look special at all to look at in the packaging however when you apply it, you get the most gorgeous natural sheen with a hint of pink that just brightens the face and makes everything look very polished and chic. It pairs with all kinds of make up looks, I'm thinking a very natural make up or perhaps a nice smokey eye? :) A beautiful 'your lips but better' type shade.
Definitely a staple, definitely a must-have and for those of you who haven't taken the plunge and bought it yet (like myself for the past two years!) I urge you to! It's a go-to failsafe lip offering.
Here I am wearing it with several (ok, a lot) other make up items and I look tired....I was!
Foundation - Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua in B30
Concealer (Under Eye) - MAC Studio Finish Concealer
Concealer (Blemishes) - Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage in SC3
Bronzer - Chanel - Soleil Tan de Chanel - loving at the moment!
Highlight - Dior Amber Diamond (discontinued - boo!)
Blush - Nars Deep Throat
Eyes - MAC Mythology / MAC Antiqued and Rimmel Scandaleyes in Bronze in the water line and to
line the upper lashes.
Brows - Tom Ford Brow Sculptor in Taupe
Mascara - YSL Baby Doll
Lips - Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in 'Boy'
That's all for now, catch you in the week!
Lis x

Deletethis is one of my all time favourite lipsticks. I don't think I'll ever stop repurchasing it. you'll also love dior Cherie bow (if you don't own it already). similar effect but a hint more pigmented and pink. it's a good one!
ReplyDeleteIt's funny, I thought today as I put it on "I'm definitely going to finish this pretty quickly and I'm definitely going to be buying it again!"
DeleteI'm going to check out (and more than likely buy!) Cherie Bow tomorrow, thanks for the recommendation! :)
