Work & Play OOTD

It dawned on me yesterday that I've not really done any OOTD posts lately.  So here we are with not one but two for you! *sarcastic voice* :)

I'd taken the first OOTD last Sunday and meant to also post it on Sunday but got so caught up in my Life Lately post that I ran out of time (and really wanted to get in another episode of 'Orange is the New Black'!)

I'd bought this dress after seeing it on Laura's Blog a few weeks ago.  I didn't think it would suit me but when I tried it on in the Zara changing room I fell in love.  It's a beautiful colour, a very pale pink and it feels quite 'weighty' so drapes very nicely.  It feels very comfortable but yet it looks quite dressy.  I paired it down with flats for the weekend but I think it could look equally as nice with heels for a night out because it isn't too short.  However, Laura was right when she said it creased like a b*tch.  It certainly does! (in fact if you look closely you can see said creases in the pictures!) never the less, an absolutely gorgeous dress and a steal at £19.99...thank you Zara sale :)

Dress - Zara - not online sadly anymore but you may still find one hanging around in store in the sale section!

Bag - Mulberry - postman's lock satchel - I believe they still do this in other colours, but if not, I'm sure you can find one on eBay

Flip Flops - Valentino - I don't think they do this style anymore however you can still buy the Rockstud sandal in other styles if you're interested.

Now to the Work Outfit - ok, I don't do these very often because most of the time I don't make an effort for work (slaps wrist!) however today, because it was hot I pushed the corporate boundaries a little bit and quite liked what I was wearing - so thought it was worthy to share!

I've wanted the Chanel version of these shoes ever since I'd spotted them on several fashion blogger's posts, however my budget isn't quite stretching to these at the moment :( so I bought the French Sole one's instead.  Really pleased with them, they add a bit of 'chicness' to any outfit!

The skirt is last season from H&M, they don't do this anymore however I'm sure they do similar ones and let's face it a black skirt can easily be replicated.  I like the A-line style of this one though, it's flattering and hides a multitude of sins!

The top is also fairly old from Zara but could easily be replicated with a similar cream blouse if you wanted to recreate this look.

And my good old Speedy, this is my go-to work bag at the moment since you can fit so much crap in it, it's unreal!! Anyone who has one of these will know exactly what I mean! It's just a never-ending bag.

Sunglasses are my trusty Tom Ford Raquel's in Black, my first Tom Ford's and still my favourite by far (I own several pairs - I have an addiction to Tom Ford sunglasses!)

Coming soon, reviews of a little budget makeup/drugstore haul I did a few weeks ago!

Hope you're all having a great week!
