Perfect Autumn / Fall Lipstick

Ok..ok...Let's start by acknowledging the fact that I'm so late to the party with this one I practically missed it! I'm well aware that this lipstick has been talked about a lot over the last couple of years and I can't believe it's taken me this long to pick it up!

So anyway...

I'd had a bad day at work last week and so to cheer myself up at lunchtime I popped to Boots and with the intention of picking up the Rimmel Lasting Finish Matte Lipstick by Kate Moss in shade 107 after seeing it featured on one of Anna's YouTube video's recently.

Autumn for me always means switching up my beauty products and I have to admit I do get a little bit excited about the prospect of doing this!  I replace Summer's coral lips, bronze and gold eyes and nude nails with deep red lips, red and coppery eyes and berry coloured nails and it fills me with probably a lot more joy than it should! What can I say? I'm easily pleased!

Let's get back to the lipstick shall we...I digress.

So it's a beautiful deep red colour and I've been wearing it with MAC 'Half Red' Lip Liner although I do think I could do with a better match than this so suggestions are welcome! I'm struggling to compare it with any other lipstick in my collection but if I had to describe it I'd say it's what Nars Audacious Lipstick in 'Fanny' and MAC 'Ruby Woo' would be like if they had a baby!

Ok, so I wasn't aware just how long-wearing this lipstick actually was until today when I forgot to take my makeup bag to work with me. I have to admit, I cried a little inside when I realised this as I sat at my desk this morning! (those who know me know that I do not go anywhere without most of my makeup and I've been doing this since I was a teen at school!!)

This did mean however, that my lipstick was put to the ultimate test and I am pleased to report that it stayed on my lips all day and didn't budge, even through my lunch! It did wear a little bit but still looked more than presentable when I got home.  It didn't dry out my lips either.

Winner.

To conclude I'd highly recommend this little budget beauty buy to you all if you haven't picked it up already! It's better than many of it's high end counterparts and cost just under six quid! you can't go wrong!

What beauty products are your favourite for Autumn / Fall?  any recommendations for me?!

Hope you're all having a good week so far! Follow me on Snapchat for daily ramblings about what I've been up to! (elisabethrilatt)
