Cailyn O! Circle Foundation Brush

Oh Hi....I'm Lis and I'm a sucker when it comes to a new product launch! *raises hand in the air* :)

And here we have my latest 'new product' obsession - a very odd shaped foundation brush! (stick with me here though!) The eagle-eyed amongst you may have seen me banging on about this on Twitter and Snapchat recently and after a few weeks of using it I now feel it's time to share the foundation brush love!

So.. a bit of background info, let me set the scene! ha!

Whilst flicking through the latest issue of 'Vogue' a few weeks ago I spotted a new make up brush with the following description -

"looks like a shaving brush but feels like a chamois.  It has more than a million micro-fine bristles, sliced at a 35-degree angle to make it easier to get closer to the hairline and into the creases around the nose....we're now utterly addicted to the finish it gives - like airbrushing without the air."

It took all of about five minutes for me to find this brush online and purchase it - I mean - hello? airbrush finish? Give me some of that immediately!!

Now of course, I'm always a little skeptical of what I read in magazines, so in the back of my mind there was always the possibility that this was going to be a duff purchase. You win some you lose some and all that!

Let's just say I had no need to be cynical! This was a personal revolutionary moment in make up application for me and a lot of joy was sparked!!

Wow. Just wow.  In short, I love love love this brush!

I apply my foundation straight to my face (this is important), dotting it around and next take the O! Circle Brush  and effortlessly use it to buff said foundation into the skin.  It's halved the time it takes me to work my foundation into the skin and indeed creates the 'flawless' and 'airbrushed' finish it promises.  Not a streak or brush stroke in sight!

I'd even go as far to say that it's so effective that it actually minimises any enlarged pores and fine lines.  This is probably because the bristles are so soft and densely packed (I still can't get over the fact that there are over a million bristles!)

I've used it with various different foundations to trial it with different textures (Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua, Estee Lauder Double Wear, Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation, Laura Mercier Creme Foundation) and the brush has made easy work of all of them (even the bitchy to apply Charlotte Tilbury!)

The finish it gives is not only flawless but it also looks a lot more 'natural' than it does when I use other foundation brushes.  The foundation doesn't appear so thick but yet the coverage is still the same.  I especially noticed this with the Estee Lauder Double Wear.

I doubt if I will ever pick up another foundation brush again (ok, so maybe that's a lie! haha)

I am obsessed with this foundation brush and if you want flawless skin without having to spend several minutes buffing your foundation in with a brush or a sponge then you should be too!

This isn't widely available at the moment in the UK but you can get it HERE from Victoria Health (Who also happen to sell Niod Photography Fluid, the stuff I've also been raving about recently!)  You can also get it on Amazon.com HERE

A bit more info and sciency-technical stuff on the brush HERE

Get it, I guarantee you won't be disappointed! I actually get excited about putting on foundation on in the morning at the moment because of this brush (I probably shouldn't admit this!! ha!)

Have a great start to your week!

Lis x
