Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer

Going to Boots during my lunch is becoming a regular occurrence.  I use the excuse that the sandwiches are better from there than the Supermarket around the corner from my office, but I can't deny the fact that there is actually an ulterior motive here! ;)

And whilst straying from the sandwich section this week I spotted... 'Three For Two'.  Always a dangerous statement to see on the shelves, but one I simply cannot ignore!

I'm a big fan of Bourjois.  The Healthy Mix Serum foundation is right up there in my Top 5 bases and I also have a lot of love for the Healthy Balance Unifying Powder,  Volume 1 Seconde Mascara and the Delice de Poudre Bronzing Powder.  So when I saw that they had a new concealer and foundation on the shelves, they were in my basket faster than you could say 'sandwich'!

I'm yet to put the foundation to the full test but the concealer, ohhhhh wow! I was so impressed with the swatches on my hand that I actually bought two! 01 and 02 so that I could mix and match to different areas of my face.

And it was love at first application!

Firstly, let's talk packaging. It doesn't feel or look 'Bourjois' at all, in fact, at a first glance you could mistake it for a high-end concealer.  Nice heavy-weight packaging, clean design. I like!

Consistency wise it's comparable to the Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer.  Very light weight but pigmented and blends under the eye with ease.  I use a beauty blender for mine but I would imagine it works just as well with fingers or a brush.

The smell could be bothersome to those who do not like cosmetics with a scent but I actually don't mind the smell at all and find it quite pleasant.

Now to the best part.  It doesn't seem to settle in creases as much as other under eye concealers do. *angels start singing!*  This is one of the points I really 'judge' a concealer on.  My under-eye area is quite dry and I'm of that 'age' where I do unfortunately have fine lines so it's an important factor for me!

The longevity of this concealer is also exceptional.  I apply my make up at around 8am every morning for work and the concealer was still in place at 5pm.  Impressive!  I should also mention that the picture taken above was after the concealer had been on for about 4 hours and is completely untouched. (and also that at the moment I am extremely tired due to not sleeping very well - this concealer is working wonders!)

So to conclude, this may well have knocked my beloved Urban Decay concealer off the top spot.  It's a fantastic under eye concealer (or for any other area of your face that you want to smooth and brighten) and it's a fraction of the price ladies so I urge you to run to your nearest Bourjois stand and stock up!
