Random Things I'm Loving Right Now...

I always enjoy writing these type of posts.  A chatty mishmash (is that even a word?!) of random bits and bobs that I'm really enjoying at the moment!

There are some real gems here so make sure you have your shopping list / wish list handy! (I can guarantee after reading some of my favourite blogger's posts my list is at least five items longer!)

So let's begin.

Topshop 'Lucas' Jeans

Ok, so I have to admit since buying the ripped version of these jeans and falling instantly in love with them, I've also bought another pair without rips.  I first heard about these jeans from Laura (buynow/bloglater) and I'm so glad she brought them to my attention. They are 'almost' skinny but not super tight and come up high enough on the waist to avoid that dreaded 'bend over and have your knickers on display' problem that you get with most low rise skinny jeans. They also eliminate any propensity to 'muffin top' and are the comfiest jeans I've ever owned!

Marc Jacobs Magic Marc'er Pen

Firstly, let's just take a little moment to commend Mr. Jacobs on the naming of his beauty products. They always seem to be a play on words and kinda like this :)

This eyeliner pen has been drawn onto my eyeline every day since purchasing and I can't seem to do without it at the moment.  If I don't apply my eyes just look a little bit 'lack-lustre', this could well be the beginning of an eyeliner addiction!

The pen is a sleek and heavy design and this makes it so easy to apply, it isn't too 'shiny' when it dries down and lasts forever without smudging or flaking.

Very impressed, I have it in dark brown and now contemplating getting it in black :)

Chloe Myrte Sunglasses

You like huge sunglasses? You gonna love these!

By far the biggest sunglasses I own in my collection but that's just the way I like 'em! I bought a pale pink transparent version of these a couple of years ago and enjoy wearing them a lot in the Summer and consequently started about thinking about another pair in a different colour.

You may recall I did a 'Spring Wishlist' some time ago and these sunglasses featured on them.

I've been wearing them a lot lately paired with my Sophie Hulme bag (yes, I'm that crazy woman who matches her sunglasses to her bag, seriously!)

NYX Butter Gloss in Creme Brûlée and Nuxe Reve De Miel Lip Balm

Two lip products I am using constantly at the moment.

I'm very religious when it comes to applying lip balm in the morning and night and this pot of goodness from Nuxe has successfully kept dry / chapped lips at bay throughout the Winter.  It's not greasy and has a 'matte' texture to it.  Perfect for the morning to pop on whilst doing your make up, to give a good base for any lip product you apply afterwards.   It's been heavily raved about in the blogging arena for a long time and rightly so because it's ruddy fantastic stuff!  Get it HERE

The NYX Butter Gloss has been in my makeup bag for well over a month now and has been the 'gloss of choice' to go over the top of most of my pretty pink / nude Spring lipsticks.  It just seems to 'work' with a lot of the nude colours I like and adds a little 'something something'.  It's inexpensive, smells great, comfortable to wear and is very moisturising.  Get it HERE

Acevivi Acupressure Mat and Pillow Set

I suffer a lot with upper back and neck pain and have done for years.  I did have some physiotherapy that helped a bit with this for a while, but due to the fact that I sleep awkwardly on my side more often than not and spend most of my time during the week hunched over a keyboard things quickly went back to how they were prior to having physiotherapy and it's just something I deal with now.

A few weeks ago Acevivi approached me to trial their new Acupressure Mat and Pillow set.  Now as a blogger, I quite often get approached by companies wanting me to trial products however one of the things I'm firm about is that it must be a product that I would actually 'use' and I can genuinely endorse.  Suffering with neck, shoulder and upper back pain, I was immediately interested in this product and agreed to the trial.

I've been using it for fifteen minutes every night before I go to bed and not only does it really help to alleviate the tension in my neck and upper back, I've also found that it helps me fall asleep a lot easier too.  It's very relaxing.  I had a really bad tension headache one evening last week and lay down on the mat for half an hour.  My headache disappeared!

If you're interested you can get the mat via Amazon HERE and look at some of the other products Acevivi do HERE

Davies 'Your Hair Assistant' Volume Creator Texturising Wood Powder

I wrote a review on my experience of Davines products last week and this little brush and texturising powder is already a firm favourite of mine.

I love the whole concept of using a brush in the hair to create texture and have always found texturising powders tricky to apply straight from the bottle.  This is great for sprucing up tired flat hair and also (although they don't advertise it for this use) I find it great for swishing around in greasy roots!

Difficult to buy online at the moment but check out stockists on the Davines website HERE

Vichy Aqualia Thermal Awakening Eye Balm

Something to sort out tired, weary eyes? Yes please

I've been using this for a month now in the morning prior to applying make up (I leave it for a couple of minutes to absorb first though) and have really noticed a difference when applying concealer on top of it.  Everything is just a little less 'puffy' and a little more 'smooth'.  And that's all you need to know really!

Eylure Three Quarter Length Lashes

If you watch me on Snapchat chances are you're probably sick of me banging on about buying fake eyelashes! But the fact of the matter is, I'm obsessed now.

Having been a very sporadic user of fake lashes over the years I have been on the hunt for a pair that suit my 'smaller than average' eyes.  (sidetone - my fiancé has actually taken to calling me 'tiny eyes' when I have no make up on!!) Alas, many a fake lash has failed, until now.

I was initially drawn into the packaging of the Eylure Enchanted Range with it's beautiful flower print box and then when I saw that the 'Cherished' lash was actually a three quarter lash, something I hadn't come across before, I got a teeny bit excited and couldn't wait to get home to whack them on!

And that....was the start of the obsession! Five boxes in and I've started to branch out into Fleur de Force's range in 'Fleur Loves' also a three quarter length lash.  I've yet to try these ones yet but they are long and and fluttery and I can't wait to get them on my peepers!

Three quarter lashes are the way forward!  Get them HERE

Blogosphere Magazine

I'd heard about this magazine but had never been able to get hold of it and getting it mail order seemed far to faffy for my liking!  So when I heard that it was going to be stocked in my local WH Smith I promptly made a special trip into Cardiff City Centre to buy it.

Ok, perhaps a bit geeky, I admit, but sometimes I like to get in touch with my geeky side! :)

Whether you're a blogger or not, this is a seriously good magazine.  It's broken down into sections and has features on bloggers and also on topics that suit each genre.  It has a real contemporary and professional feel and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it cover to cover.

Find out more about it HERE

That's it for now! Let me know if you get any of my recommendations :)
