bareMinerals bareSkin Complete Coverage Serum Concealer Review

Has anybody else noticed how much bareMinerals have seriously upped their game recently? I can hold up my hand and admit that I wasn't fully aware of the extent of their current product range and had previously dismissed them as a brand that specialised in mineral powder make up and that's about it! Oh my goodness, how wrong was I?!

I was recently sent PR samples of some of their latest products and each and every one has left me extremely impressed.  Did you know for instance that they also have a gorgeous skincare range too?! More about that though in the next few weeks!

The product that I fell in love with immediately (and the first one I hastily slapped on my face after opening the package!) was the bareSkin Complete Coverage Serum Concealer  .  I mean the name alone was enough to get my attention...hellooooo 'Complete Coverage' and 'Serum'!!! Give me some of that on my under eye area NOW! haha!

The product describes itself as a 'complete coverage concealer and serum in one' and is 'designed to provide remarkable coverage with an ultra-light texture,  It instantly covers the appearance of dark circles, discolouration and other imperfections' it also claims 'the silky smooth texture glides effortlessly over fine lines leaving skin fresh and flawless all day' and I have to say, I whole-heartedly agree that this is exactly what it does!

I apply mine straight to my under-eye area, around my nose (I have a little bit of redness around here that needs a bit of extra help!), my chin and middle of my forehead using the applicator.  Then I use my Beauty Blender to pat and blend it into my face - you can, of course, use your fingers but I prefer using my trusty Beauty Blender because it gives a more 'flowwwless' finish! haha!

The consistency is very lightweight and it isn't thick in the slightest but it packs a punch pigment wise so you only need a small amount.  Apply too much and you run the risk of looking a bit 'cakey'! Less is more and all that! :)

So.... how does it wear throughout the day? The ultimate test of a concealer. The answer is 'extremely well' it doesn't settle into fine lines around the eye area or 'wear off' on the face as so many lightweight concealers are often guilty of doing.  I do use a light dusting of translucent powder on top to set it though, but that's just standard procedure these days anyway isn't it?!

Now for the scienc-y bit!....

- Mineral-coated optical pigments brighten and diffuse the appearance of dark circles and imperfections
- Hydrating humectants to help nourish the delicate under-eye area

Not too complicated!

To conclude...

This is a damn good concealer! If you're in the market for something that you can use in the under-eye area and for imperfections on the face that you need a little more help with, this is going to be something you will want to invest in!

Or, if you're like me and a bit of a concealer addict and want something new to try then this also for you!

It's reasonably priced and falls in line with the price bracket of it's competitors on the market, but as a little is going to go a long way I'd say this is definitely better value for money.  It comes in six shades and I was sent the shade 'Light'.

Let me know if you get it and what your thoughts are? Have you tried anything good from bareMinerals lately?

Thanks for reading x
