My Holiday Picks

Mykonos

In a couple of weeks I'm off to Mykonos with my Fiancé for a bit of rest and relaxation and of course this has got me thinking about all things 'holiday'! I really enjoy putting together these types of posts and I find it also helps me to organise myself in preparation for going away and I don't end up buying a load of rubbish I don't need!

I've already begun to buy a few 'bits' from the collection above and have tried to think about things that I will also get plenty of wear out of when I'm back home.  Believe me,  a lot of thought has gone into this! :)

Mykonos is a pretty little Greek island, you only have to Google it to see the kind of 'vibe' it oozes so naturally I'm thinking comfortable, chic clothing with white, blue and turquoise being the 'theme'!

So let's start, I've tried to link as many of the items as I can for those who are interested!

Samudra Makena Palm Flat Tote - I couldn't actually find a picture to go on the collage of the bag I'm actually eyeing up so the picture is a pouch from the same designer. Soz! I fancied something with a palm print on it and this one from Revolve looks perfect! Link

Smith & Cult in 'Bitter Buddhist' - ok, so I'm cheating with this one, because I already have it! But when I got this shade last month and popped it on my fingernails my initial thought was 'this would be perfect for Mykonos!' Link

Zara Blue Dress - the perfect dress up / dress down comfy dress.  A holiday essential, plus I love the colour!  Link

Sophia Webster Seraphina Sandals - I've purchased these recently and gave everyone a sneak peak on my Instagram! I managed to find them in Dubai for cheaper than I can get them in the UK so you can imagine how pleased I was about that! I'm picturing wearing these with dresses and shorts while I'm away.  My love for Sophia Webster runs deep! Link

Forever 21 Palm Leaf Top - I picked this up whilst wandering the biggest Forever 21 I've ever been in  in my life at Dubai Mall! I figured it would look good with white shorts or jeans.  I'm not normally one to wear prints but I thought this was a useful little top and perfect for the hot weather. Link

White Cape Dress - this beach cover up happened by 'accident' for me! I'd originally ordered a dress from Asos to wear as an actual 'dress' however, as so very often is the case with ordering from Asos it arrived and was 'transparent' to say the least! So now it's the perfect beach cover up! Mine is actually from the brand TFNC but they don't seem to have it on the Asos website anymore so here's a link to a similar one. Link

Kiini Bikini - I've been eyeing up this bikini for well over a year now so recently (after a good commission month at work!) I bit the bullet and bought it.  Yes, it's expensive but I am strong believer in spending a bit more on swimwear because it does seem to last longer.  My Melissa Odabash bikini is still going strong 10 years down the line and looks just as good as it did 10 years ago! I thought this Kiini number had a real 'Mykonos' feel to it! It's also very comfortable to wear. Winner. Link

Charlotte Tilbury Supermodel Body - I recently used a sample of this on a night out on my legs, arms and chest and all I can say is....wow! I wasn't expecting it to be quite as good as it is and I'm definitely going to be purchasing a full size version before going away.  It adds a gorgeous sheen, especially to the legs. Link

Glamorous Dress - I spotted this dress on the Topshop website and they don't have it in my size.  So I will be stalking the internet until I find one! Link

Nails Inc Victoria Beckham - Another cheat! I bought this last year but it's such a perfect for colour for toes whilst on holiday.  AND you can get both for a knock down price on Boots at the moment (the Bamboo shade is gorgeous too!) Link

Celine 'Caty' Sunglasses - I managed to bag these from Ebay a few weeks ago (a few of you may have seen them on my Instagram) There is still another pair on their at the moment if anyone is interested! Celine sunglasses are my absolute favourite and a really good investment.

Asos White Dress - this is just one of those easy, throw it on type dresses for days out whilst away on holiday :) Link

Forever 21 Cotton Top - Perfect for pairing with denim shorts! I'm really embracing this off-the-shoulder trend at the moment! Link

Topshop Denim Shorts - I have a lighter pair of cut off denims already and quite fancied a darker pair for this Summer. Link

Topshop Pyjama Set - I love getting new pyjamas to go away with, does anyone else do this?! or is it just me! I can picture myself wearing these whilst eating room service breakfast on our balcony! :) Link

Zara Off the Shoulder Dress - yep, another one! :) Link

Thanks for reading, hope you all have a great week! x
